Head & Cervical Spine
The cervical spine is a dynamic osseous region allowing for a variety of movements and requirements of precise motor control. It also has important associations with the cranium, the shoulder girdle, the thoracic spine, and the temporal mandibular region.
This section will review the bony and soft tissue structures that make up the cervical spine and how they influence the joint mechanics of the region. Common pathologies, treatment interventions, and clinical testing procedures will also be presented to assist in understanding this challenging area both in the clinic setting and upon examination.
