Welcome to the Pelvis.
The pelvis is an important structure to weight distribution in bipedal stance, balance, coordination, and locomotion. As an independent structure, the pelvis is often overlooked in study despite its pivotal roll in the relationship between hip and lumbar function. As well, the pelvis is the most unique and fundamental structure in inner and outer core musculature and is focal to the study or reproductive organs and pre-natal development.
While you navigate through these review modules, keep in mind that although the information presented here has been formed under the context of an MSK review, in reality, multiple areas of study, such as pediatrics and reproduction for example will require an understanding of this material.
